Gardeners unite!!!
I love to garden!! I
used to garden when I was younger & I just loved it! Now that I’m older, I still love to
garden. I’m married now with one
boy. So the time I’m able to spend in
the garden is limited.
I’m not really a girl that likes flowers, so I grow a
vegetable garden. I suppose the best
thing I like to eat out of my garden is peppers. They can be green, red, black, yellow or
orange. Just as long as there not
hot. I don’t like hot peppers at all!
I’ve had problems with my garden though. Stuff just doesn’t want to grow for me. I just don’t understand it. I’ve tried horse manure, chicken manure &
even goat manure. Nothing seems to help
my garden grow.
Well this past year I discovered a different way to feed my garden. It called hugelkultur, this is where you put rotting wood down & then you
place your top soil on the wood. So I dug
up all my dirt this last year & put rotting wood under my soil. Man that was a lot of work. I’m hoping that this make my garden the best
it has ever been over the next couple of years.
I mean I love to garden but when you work & work
& don’t really get anything for it.
I tell you what it makes you not want to garden anymore.
My son & husband don’t like to eat the vegetables. So if I can’t at least get a good garden out
of my work for me to eat, I’m about ready to give it up all together.
Of course this last year I did get lots of different
colored peppers out of my garden. So
that at least made me happy. I also got
some zucchini from the garden. I
suppose about the only other thing I got was brown beans.
So if you’re having problems with your garden maybe you should try huglkultur. It might be the answer you’ve been looking for. I know I had never heard of it before.Leave a comment telling me what’s your favorite thing to eat out the garden.
